Gary coleman dies seizure fall

Gary coleman dies seizure fall, The oft-troubled life of famed child-actor Gary Coleman, star of the 1970s-80s NBC sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," has developed another hitch -- he has again been hospitalized. Contrary to some rumors running wild on the internet, however, he is not dead. Coleman has apparently not only been placed in a ICU ward in a Utah hospital but has also become the victim of the latest dead celebrity rumor.

As of this posting, Gary Coleman, 42, was in critical condition at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah. Coleman's brother told TMZ that the actor had suffered a head injury after a fall.
According to a hospital spokesperson, who spoke with People magazine, Gary Coleman was admitted to the medical facility Wednesday, but further details were not forthcoming.

Shannon Price, Gary Coleman's wife, issued a statement to 2News (KUTV) in Salt Lake City Thursday: "Gary was taken to the hospital with a serious medical problem yesterday, we are asking for everyone's prayers at this time. We hope those prayers are answered and that Gary will be able to recover and return home soon."

But the actor is not dead...

The 'Gary Coleman is dead' rumor surfaced back in January as well when the former child star was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital. He wasn't feeling well and underwent tests. Later, the reasons for the hospitalization was described as "seizure activity."

But he wasn't dead...

But this is the third time Coleman, who was born with failed kidneys and had to transplants before the age of 14, has been hospitalized this year. Besides the January hospitalization, the actor suffered a seizure on the set of "The Insider" in February. Dr. Drew Pinsky was on the set as well and administered immediate treatment. Coleman apparently had suffered a seizure and was transferred to a local hospital in L.A.

It is unclear whether or not the seizures were in any way related to Coleman's kidney problems.

The dead celebrity rumors circulate the internet on a constant basis. Joining Gary Coleman on Friday, May 28, were rumors that Tom Cruise was dead as well. The rumors seem to be fueled more by internet users questioning whether or not stars were dead more than any particular hoax or unfounded assertions that they were indeed dead. But Gary Coleman and Tom Cruise joined some rather high-profile company. Among the many celebrities that have died an internet death -- and some of them numerous times -- are: Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Lil Wayne, Harrison Ford, Jeff Goldblum, Eminem, Johnny Depp, Nick Jonas, etc., ad infinitum.
